Feature question: Dotenv

I threw together a quick middleman-dotnev extension a while back as I kept wanting the .env convention of setting ENV variables in a couple middleman apps I have (drying things up) however I wondered if this type of functionality would be worth considering adding to core?

I’m in two minds about it and thought I’d throw it out there.

Does anyone else use Dotenv for their projects?

I think this is fine as a separate extension (to be honest, I would probably just use Dotenv directly).

No need to be in core IMO. I don’t think too many people are using .env files with Middleman.
